1. Purpose

Restrography respects users' privacy and provides processes for requesting the deletion of personal information associated with their accounts.

This Data Deletion Policy explains how candidates, hospitality professionals, employers, recruiters, restaurants, vendors and other registered users can request deletion, what information may be removed, and which records may need to be retained for legitimate or legal reasons.

This policy should be read together with the Restrography Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.

2. Scope

This policy applies to personal information processed through Restrography, including:

  • Candidate and hospitality professional profiles.
  • Uploaded CVs and AI-generated CVs.
  • Professional experience, skills and job preferences.
  • Employer, recruiter and authorised representative profiles.
  • Candidate matching cards, shortlisting information and platform contact entries.
  • Account preferences and associated user-generated content.
  • Other personal information associated with a registered account.
  • Certain technical, security, transaction or legal records may be subject to separate retention requirements.

3. How to Delete Your Account

  • Option 1: Delete Your Account Through Settings
  • Registered users may initiate account deletion directly through the platform, where the feature is available.
  • Visit https://restrography.com/ and sign in.
  • Open your account's Settings page.
  • Navigate to the Danger Zone section.
  • Select the account deletion option.
  • Review any confirmation displayed by the platform and confirm your request.

Account deletion is intended to remove your account and associated profile information from active platform databases, subject to applicable legal obligations and necessary retention exceptions.

Please review any confirmation message before proceeding. Deletion may permanently remove your profile, CVs, saved opportunities, matching history and other account-associated information.

Option 2: Request Deletion by Email

If you cannot access your account or the deletion feature is unavailable, email:

support@restrography.com

Use the subject line:

Account Deletion Request – Restrography

Include the following information:

  • Your registered name.
  • Your registered email address or mobile number.
  • Your account type, such as candidate, employer, recruiter or vendor.
  • A clear statement that you are requesting account and associated personal data deletion.
  • Do not email passwords, authentication tokens or unnecessary identity documents.

We may ask for reasonable verification to confirm that the request relates to your account and is authorised. We will process the request within the time required by applicable law.

4. What Information Is Deleted?

Following a verified deletion request, Restrography will take the applicable steps to delete or de-identify personal information associated with the account from active systems, as appropriate.

This may include:

  • Candidate or employer profile information.
  • Uploaded and AI-generated CVs stored in the platform.
  • Candidate matching cards and associated contact entries.
  • Professional details, preferences and account settings.
  • Saved opportunities, shortlisting data and other account-associated information, where deletion is appropriate.
  • Other personal information that no longer needs to be retained for a lawful purpose.

The precise information removed may depend on the account type, the platform functionality used and the information held by relevant systems.

5. Information That May Be Retained

Some information may need to be retained for a limited period where required or permitted by applicable law or necessary for legitimate purposes.

This may include:

  • Transaction, accounting or billing records required by law.
  • Records necessary to investigate fraud, abuse or security incidents.
  • Information required to comply with lawful government, regulatory or court requests.
  • Records necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
  • Minimal records needed to document the deletion request or prevent unauthorised re-registration, where lawful.
  • Any retained information will be subject to appropriate access restrictions and will not be retained indefinitely without a valid purpose.

6. Backups and Technical Systems

Deletion from active databases may not result in the immediate removal of every copy from all technical systems.

Where personal information exists in backups, disaster-recovery systems or technical logs, it will be handled in accordance with applicable retention requirements and technical deletion procedures. Such information should be deleted, overwritten or rendered inaccessible in accordance with the relevant system's retention cycle and applicable law.

Where information is retained temporarily in a backup, we will take reasonable steps to prevent its ordinary use and ensure it is not restored to active processing without appropriate deletion controls.

The timing of deletion from backups may differ from deletion from active databases.

7. Third-Party Service Providers

Restrography uses third-party technology providers for services such as hosting, authentication, database management, file storage, AI processing and email delivery.

Where applicable, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that deletion requests are handled by relevant service providers in accordance with their contractual obligations, technical capabilities and applicable law.

Information independently retained by an employer, recruiter, vendor or another user may not be under Restrography's direct control. If you previously shared information directly with another party, you may need to contact that party separately to request deletion from its own systems.

8. Job Alerts and Marketing Communications

You may opt out of weekly job alert emails through the unsubscribe link provided in the email or by turning off job alerts in your account Settings, where available.

If you want your account and associated personal information deleted, use the account deletion process described above. Unsubscribing from emails alone does not delete your account.

9. Withdrawal of Consent and Other Privacy Requests

Where applicable, you may request withdrawal of consent for processing based on consent by emailing support@restrography.com.

Withdrawing consent may affect the features we can provide. It does not necessarily require deletion of records that must lawfully be retained.

Requests for access, correction, deletion or other applicable privacy rights can be submitted using the subject line “Privacy Request”.

10. Confirmation of Deletion

Once we have processed a verified request, we may provide confirmation through the registered email address or another reasonable communication channel.

Confirmation refers to the deletion steps completed within the scope of the request. It does not mean that every record has been erased where legal retention requirements, legitimate exceptions or technical backup cycles apply.

11. Security and Prevention of Misuse

We may temporarily restrict or review a deletion request where reasonably necessary to verify the requester, prevent unauthorised deletion, investigate suspected account compromise or comply with a lawful requirement.

Any such review will be handled in accordance with applicable law and will not be used to unreasonably obstruct a valid deletion request.
